your support will put books in the hands of children everywhere

Your support funds GIVING books away

The Founder’s Circle includes several tiers of support. The support level within each circle funds the donation of my book (at cost) to local schools and libraries. You may choose to distribute books in two ways.

  • Books will be donated to your child’s school or the school or town library of your choice.
  • Books will be donated to Maine schools, in celebration of a book made entirely in Maine.

This is also an excellent option for schools that would like to place a bulk order of books (at cost) to distribute throughout their district, classrooms, or charter schools.

Founder's Circle of Lichendia, Give the gift of books and help launch a magical fairyland!

Sacred Inclusion

Our two highest levels of support, $1,000 and $5,000 circles, are given the option of including your name, location, and website link on the Founder’s Circle page of our website. At the center of our circle, the $5,000 supporters will enable us to give the gift of 150 hardcover books and 250 paperback books to local schools and libraries!

Artist’s Bio – Hillary Dow

Hi, my name is Hillary Dow. I  was born and raised in the rural mountains of Maine and fortunately I still call the pine tree state my home. Classically trained in illustration, I am a graduate of the Hartford Aft School at the University of Hartford. Inspired by the beauty and splendor of nature, the influences that spin around me, and the zany things done and said by our two children, Eva and Tyler, or my smashingly fabulous husband, Adam, I channel the joy and adventure of our life into unique, creative works of art.

My preferred media include watercolor, pastel, ink, graphite, and wool felting in the form of needle felted wool paintings.

When not painting, pulling bus stop duty, or pulling down hours at work, I am publishing wonderfully unique children’s books as the founder of Binding Tales. My books inspire children (and the adults who love them) to read, write and imagine. Binding Tales offers bound paperback books that spark creativity and learning while preserving fleeting childhood memories. Take a peek at the inside of Binding Tales books with our preview flip book!
