Live Felting Classes
with Maine fiber artist Hillary DowLearning new crafts and artistic techniques is such a joy, even better are the opportunities we have to learn together as a creative community. I am grateful for every occasion I have to share my craft with others. Let’s start felting!

Pictured here are several of the students standing with me holding our felted octopuses, as well as the room setup for each student attending the 3D octopus felting class. Whether you’re new to felting or exploring new techniques with a medium you love, we’ll have fun creating wool art together!

Meet Hillary Dow
Hi, my name is Hillary Dow. I am the author, illustrator, and founder of Binding Tales. My books are illustrated with my wool brought to life by transforming the fleece of sheep happily raised on Maine farms into needle felted works of art. With stories inspired by imaginative adventures in our home state of Maine, and drawing on talents throughout our creative economy, we’re bringing Lichendia® from farm to bookshelf. It is such a thrill and honor to inspire imagination and creativity in others. I look forward to connecting and sharing this creative journey with you!
