Instructor: Hillary Dow
Suitable for all skill levels*
Felting tools and materials provided
Create your very own 2D-3D wool landscape wall hanging with dimensional elements that pop right off the wall! This needle felting technique is the signature style of fiber artist and instructor, Hillary Dow.
We will use wool sourced from Maine fiber farms to learn multiple needle felting techniques as you transform the puffy piles of wool into a sunrise landscape with a 3D growing over the edge of the piece. Your wool supplies will include a gradient sunrise blended batt, evenly blended batt, solid color roving, and white curly locks. The rich variety of prepared colors allows for a painterly approach to needle felting.
*This project may be slightly challenging for those who are brand new to needle felting, but everyone in the class will be provided multiple visual aids (video clips and still images) to accompany the live instruction. The additional instructional tools are intended to support you if additional time is necessary to work at a slower pace.
